Clean India, Save india

I was just sent this clip by a friend and I find it compelling to list it here.

During a more than a regular downpour of rains, Mumbai reeled in pressure of collapse of its sewage system, where water clogged not only the drainage system but also the whole city. There were many articles written about amazing spirit of Mumbai and how they helped each other out during that time of distress. We also come across sporadic news articles about mishandling of manholes and how many people have lost lives because of those accidents.

Here is a heart warming public service message alerting us about the pathetic state of "civic sense" in India. I hope our citizens get our act together and our duty of keeping our streets clean, literally.

Please invite your friends to this website. Word of mouth pays. Thank you :)

Purab se Surya Uga

This clip used to be aired back in '90s by Rashtriya Sakshrata Mission to further literacy rate in the country. It was a sweet clip which was short and patriotic.

I notice that many people are coming to see this ad clip looking for its lyrics. Here it is - courtesy Kanan :)

hahaha! ok here goes:

purab se surya uga faila ujiyara

yakeen nahin aata yeh wohi kishan hai?

purab se surya uga faila ujiyara
jaagi har disha disha jaaga jag saara
purab se surya uga faila ujiyara

(inaudible words)

Ek chidiya...

If you belonged to the archiac generatation that I do, you dont need no introduction to this video. It used to be aired on sunday afternoon (apart from other times) before they took those regional movies too seriously. Ah, who can forget the sanskrit news and news for hearing impaired. :))

I am not a traditionalist, so if someone want to remake this video with latest graphics technology, that might give a chance for the little kiddos to have their own patriotic memories.

Ek chidiya, ek ek ek karke anek chidiya.n.

Mile Sur Mera Tumhara

In the spirit of nostalgia, I believe this clip belongs here. One of the finest national integrity videos ever broadcasted. Hope you relive and enjoy it.

Whatz the Adzz?

This website lists all the classic commercials aired on Indian television - "palmolive da jawaab nahin", "boost is the secret of my energy" and many such. I welcome feedback, requests and words of encouragement in form of comments from my visitors. It just doesnt seem right when there are about 200 visits a day, but only handful of comments :)
